Hamburger Helper Doublecheeseburger Macaroni
It is time to do a product review again for those who don’t cook or hate it. Sometimes that’s me, yours truly. I’m making another Italian roast beef for dinner tonight. We have a guest and he loved it the last time I made it. I punched up the ingredients and hope that it produces a more flavorful product. Back to the Hamburger Helper. When I was just a young thing, my best friend lived down the street. I often ate over at her house and she introduced me to Hamburger Helper for the first time, I think. Her family bought the lasagne flavor and I thought it was the best tasting thing ever. Later when I learned how to make it, I thought, how easy and clever. I can’t believe how many different varieties they have now. Stroganoff, cheesey ranch burger, homestyle salisbury and a whole lot more. I think I’m having a memory. I think I’ve tried beef noodle helper as well. I didn’t like it too much. Let’s see what we thought about the doublecheeseburger macaroni.
I was feeling under the weather so Steve took care of dinner. Chef Steve prepared everything from start to finish and even did the dishes. What more can you ask for in a man? Well, I suppose a lot but I’m not complaining (at the moment that is…) Let’s get back to Hamburger Helper double cheeseburger macaroni. Chef Steve made an executive decision to serve the meal with peas. That made me laugh for some reason. It’s like Steve was getting creative. Hehe. I don’t know why that’s so funny. Aside fr0m adding too much water, it didn’t turn out too bad.
Steve liked it. I, well, I ate it and while I was hungry and eating it, I thought it was okay. The cheese flavor wasn’t very strong. It was weaker than say like a Kraft macaroni & cheese sauce. The pasta part was okay. It wasn’t at all mushy. It was actually slightly chewy. The burger meat we used from our local little market, Red Mills was right on with their meat. It tasted fresh and cooked up tender. So if you’re totally beat, don’t care about eating healthy and like cheeseburgers, then you may be okay with this product. Again, don’t judge your meal by our pic. Steve added too much water. Okay my pretties, as always, Eat Something Good!

I tried Hamburger Helper, Double Cheeseburger, some time ago and I didn’t like it. I thought it had a strange cheese taste. I do like the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, so I’m not being a food snob.
Speaking of tasting something for the first time, I was maybe 12 or 13 when Banquet Frozen TV dinners came out. I thought they were wonderful, fried chicken was my favorite.
Hope you’re feeling better.
SB-That’s so funny about Banquet. My hamburger helper introducer friend and I also ate Banquet fried chicken. We thought it was great!
